A California native, Dr. Jesley Johnson grew up in San Jose and attended St. Francis High School. She graduated from the University of California San Diego in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. During her time at UCSD, Dr. Johnson volunteered at the Optometric Vision Development Center where she developed an interest in vision therapy. Dr. Johnson received her doctorate from the State University of New York, College of Optometry in 2011. From her rotations at the SUNY College of Optometry and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, she has become well-trained in treatment and management of ocular diseases, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. She gained experience providing optometric vision care at the University Eye Clinic in Manhattan, New York with an emphasis in the sub-specialty clinics of pediatrics and vision therapy. She elected to take a vision therapy externship which further engaged her passion in the area, specifically in regards to the pediatric population. Dr. Johnson is a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and continues to attend lectures and seminars to further her knowledge in vision therapy. Dr. Johnson is certified in corneal refractive therapy and is a member of the American Academy of Orthokeratology. Having witnessed firsthand the benefits of CRT, Jesley is proud to be part of a team known for excellence in this field. Dr. Johnson is also a member of the InfantSee program, Santa Clara County Optometric Society, and California Optometric Association. Aside from Optometry, Dr. Johnson is an active member of her Indian community. She also enjoys watching sports, specifically football and basketball. She is excited to be back in the Bay Area and looks forward to serving your family’s eye care needs.
Jodie is a certified Ophthalmic Technician and in the field since 2002. She has been working as an Optometric Vision Therapist at the Vision Enhancement Optometric Group since 2010. She has completed highly specialized binocular vision training taught by world renowned behavioral optometrists, Dr. Robert Sanet, OD, FCOVD and continues to attend lectures and seminars to further her knowledge in vision therapy. Her training covers extensive instruction on binocular vision conditions, visual perceptual assessments for vision related learning conditions, strabismus and amblyopia evaluation and treatment as well as traumatic brain injury treatments. Jodie is currently a member of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Jodie has a special interest in neurology, acquired brain injury and those on the Autism spectrum. Jodie is wonderful with children and loves working with patients of all ages. As a VT patient herself and a mother of 2 VT patients, she is able to apply her personal experience and understanding from both a patients standpoint and a parents. On her days off, Jodie enjoys hockey (Go Sharks!), spending time with her family and running marathons benefiting local charities with her daughter.
